OUR APPROACH

OPERATOR TRAINING

We can provide specialized training to your operators, helping to familiarize them with the navigation and operation of your automation system. If we’re expanding your existing system and your operators have some experience with your current controls, we can gear the training to focus on specific new and enhanced system functionality. If we are introducing something entirely new, our team can train your operators step by step, covering every key component and function. Either way, the purpose of this training is to get your operators familiar, comfortable and productive with your control system interface and able to run your process while producing high-quality, repeatable results.

TRAINING ON NEW SYSTEMS

It is important that the members of your team who are responsible for utilizing your new system on a regular basis are competently trained and fully prepared for the implementation of your new system.

At Malisko, our team also understands there are a variety of options for operator training. Our offerings range from thorough, comprehensive simulations in a controlled environment to on-site, in-person training on the live system. Regardless of your needs, we focus on mitigating your concerns, addressing potential knowledge deficiencies, and adequately preparing your team to begin production. The second you go ‘live’, our goal is to have already made the new system feel familiar and intuitive for the operators leading to more efficient use of their time and your resources. Increase in operator utilization is a byproduct of a well-designed automation system, and early training is a key to their acceptance of the system. We enjoy working with and training operators because their insights into the processes are invaluable. They can help drive more efficiency out of your system which is why we are passionate about helping them become well-trained to do so.

PROCESS SIMULATION

Depending on the needs of your team, we can provide low-, medium-, or high-fidelity simulations that closely resemble your real process system. Your team can train in real-world-like process conditions in a controlled environment. Process upsets and fault conditions can be simulated without wasting valuable ingredients or damaging process equipment.

To provide your team with more advanced, specialized training, we can develop a model-based process simulation. In its most basic form, the process simulation consists of mass and energy balances. That means our simulated environment provides your team member in training with specific instructions, scenarios and actions. These simulations give your team a chance to interact with your system, exactly how your system is designed. A huge advantage is gained in a simulated environment where operators can make mistakes, learn from them, and ready themselves to work on your real system without causing adverse results in the ‘real world’.

IN-PERSON TRAINING

After your system has been assembled and is ready to be implemented in your environment, Malisko’s team of automation specialists can work with your operators in hands-on training including a comprehensive review of everything they will find in your new control system interface. These hands-on training sessions can be fully customized to the proficiency level of your operators; either offering a review of the system and its processes or drilling down to the nitty-gritty aspects of control, monitoring and reporting.

Like you, Malisko is committed to doing what it can so your team is prepared to competently begin their work using the new automation systems.

ONGOING SUPPORT

As time progresses, your control systems evolve, and as new team members are brought on board, training needs might change. At your request, our team stands ready to assist your operators well after implementation, helping provide ongoing support and individualized care.

From our first training sessions carrying over into the proceeding weeks, months and years, we can be there as needed to fill in gaps of knowledge and meet your organization’s needs for training.

LEAVE-BEHIND DOCUMENTS

Malisko is proud of the ongoing 24x7 technical support we offer our clients. Our team also understands we might not be able to be there every step of the way in supporting your teams. System documentation that your own support group can quickly reference and use becomes important.

With years of experience designing and deploying manufacturing automation systems along with our relentless attention to details, we can create a list of training documents tailored to your particular system, operators and technical support team. These manuals, guides, and instructions can help your operators and support team, even after the other training; serving as a refresher and guide of key components and troubleshooting questions as they emerge in the daily operation of your production facility.
